Wonder Woman World's Greatest Super Gals Doll

Manufacturer: Mego
Year of release: 1973
Description: In 1972 Mego released their World's Greatest Super Heroes line of 8" fully poseable dolls. There were no female characters produced in the series until 1973 when Mego released the World's Greatest Super Gals which included Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Supergirl and Catwoman. Wonder Woman featured a one-piece removable cloth body suit and tiara painted onto the forehead. The original release did not include red boots, these were included in later releases. There is a variation of the costume which contains large white stars on the shorts and smaller bracelets (see comparison below). The doll was originally released in a window box featuring a cut-out card on the back of the pack, but also came packaged on a blister card also known as the "Kresge Card" version.
Approx value: US$250-300 (boxed US release), US$40-50 (loose in MINT condition)
